Before you read any further, before you think too hard or let a flood of different thoughts second guess what you might say, I want you take out a piece of paper or use the comment area below, and write down the first thing that comes into your mind to complete this phrase:
“This year, it is my turn to……”
What did you write? Something you’ve been thinking about for a long time and haven’t moved on yet, or alternatively, something surprising? Something that requires having an uncomfortable conversation with someone else? Or, something that fills and energizes you - something that makes you smile? Is it a career or personal or financial goal?
Tell us, what did you write?
Think about what you wrote and why. What will it take to achieve? Try not to overthink it and instead put a plan into action. “Move with purpose,” as I like to tell my children when we’re running late and need to focus.
