What is Your Turn Career?
Your Turn Career is a newsletter designed for anyone navigating careers and caregiving. Do you have a career gap that you need help positioning? Are you contemplating career change but not sure where to begin? Are you feeling the push and pull of the “messy middle,” when work and parenting collide? Then this newsletter is for you!
Our goal is to build your confidence, show you that you are not alone in what can feel like a lonely journey, and inspire you with solid tactics and practices for discovering what it is YOUR TURN to do!
Our newsletter includes actionable advice, information on current work trends, advice from career coaches and early access to our group coaching cohorts, and jobs where resume gaps are welcome.
About Us
Your Turn Career is brought to you by the experts who lead Après Careers, a career resource for women navigating returns to work after career breaks for caregiving or pivoting to something new. We have been advising and working with women in this capacity since 2013, and have worked with companies ranging in size from startup to Fortune 500 to help them recruit, return and retain women talent to the workforce.
Your Turn Career stems from the book by Stacey Delo and Jennifer Gefsky, Your Turn: Careers, Kids and Comebacks--A Working Mother's Guide (Harper Business). Stacey speaks regularly on topics related to women @ work and has spoken at Google, LinkedIn, Federal Home Loan Bank, SHRM, the PR Council, the Pennsylvania Conference for Women, Professional BusinessWomen of California, Watermark Conference for Women, and has appeared on CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, Yahoo Finance, and more.
Your Turn Career by Après is written by Stacey Delo, who spent the earlier part of her career as video talent with MarketWatch and The Wall Street Journal, where she was the host of Digits, a live video program about technology. She has appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show and other live shows in addition to having interviewed many Fortune 500 and startup CEOs in her work as a journalist. She is mom to two wonderful humans!
